I'm sorry you didn't like the Lucia buns. AG's recipe isn't very good. Perhaps I can tempt you with a better recipe? I like the saffron flavor but I did not like the rosewater in Felicity's Queencakes. My young friend did not like the rosewater either. Kirsten's Swedish pancakes and Lucia buns are two of my all time favorite foods!
It's a shame they are out of print. The receipes sound very interesting.
I have Kirsten's and Molly's, but I haven't tried anything yet. I think I made Molly's PB&J rollups one time, though. I've been dying to try Samantha's petit fours from the AG Club Handbook, though!
Kirsten's food looks so, so, so delicious! I want to try that potato soup that's in the cookbook!

I have made the peti fours, like 3 times amd they are SOOO good! But very messy to make! The last time I made them they replaced a birthday cake for my birthday just like Samantha did!
Princess Ruthie, the potatoe soup is awesome! One of my favorites. But heres some personal tips; add a bit of corn starch if you like a thicker broth and put some grated cheese on top. if anyone could direct me to a really great St Lucia bun recipe, I would be grateful. I have found a few onlien but don't know if they are good. I want to do a saint Lucia day next year. My husband thinks I won't get up beofre dawn to do it.

Lissiefan, your American Girl history class sounds like a lot of fun! To learn about history using AG, and be able to eat, too...that's like heaven!
